Learning modules
Module 1
This module will give you the opportunity to see how an incidents unfolds from it taking place, to the first responders arriving on scene and how a Gold Commander will respond.
You will be give the opportunity to provide a response as to how you may deal with it
Module 2
This is the main content of the learn section of the programme.
Here you will be shown command and control principles
A decision making model and how agencies work together if it is a more complex incident
You will also see how incidents are classified into major and critical incidents
Throughout this module you see how you would apply the lessons learned to the incident in module 1
Module 3
In the final module you will be given a new scenario and use the principles learned to respond to it. This will be supplemented with models developed through years of operational experience to help you think about how to respond at a strategic level and have a broader respective to the situation that has unfolded.
You will be given the opportunity to record your responses and they will be mapped against a ‘model’ answer and you will be given feedback as to your progress and any potential areas to develop.

At the present time all of the training is delivered in person, but we are currently developing the course so that is can be delivered as three online modules. This will allow participants undertake the training at the their own convenience and pace. We will be integrating AI into the training so that the participants will receive individual feedback on their decision making.
